It is important that you arrive with no makeup, clean lashes = more lash extensions for you! If you wear contact lenses please do not wear them to your appointment. Contact lenses are very sensitive to lash extension adhesive and will be unable to preform the service.

Lash Extensions when applied correctly can last up to 8 weeks on the natural or until the natural lash sheds. Since we loose 2-5 lashes per a day, per an eye, extensions will require a fill every 2-3 weeks. If you do not plan to get your lashes filled it is important to have a professional remove the existing extensions so that there is no damage to the natural lash.

The short answer here is no. However damage can occur if the aftercare instructions are not followed or if your technician applies lashes that are too heavy/thick to your natural lash or applies too much adhesive.  Damage can also occur if you let your lashes just "grow out". This causes stress on the lash hair follicle and will cause pre-mature shedding, if this occurs multiple times it can even result in permanent balding.

For a full set of lash extensions a 3 hour appointment is scheduled. However the application process is usually anywhere from an hour and forty-five minutes to two hours. The length of time depends on your natural lashes, the more lashes the longer it takes. B.B. ARTISTRY does not count lashes we strive to obtain 95%  coverage on our clients, giving them full and fluffy lashes. If you would like to request less lashes please let your technician know.

There are some mascaras that are specifically developed for lash extensions, they are usually water based. These can be used HOWEVER. I do not recommend that you apply any mascara to your lash extensions. The removal of the mascara if not done correctly can cause damage to your natural lashes (rubbing) and pre-mature loss.

At the end of your appointment you will be given an aftercare card to take home with you. This card will include all the information about how to take care of your brand new lashes. It is important that you do not get your lashes wet for 24-48 hours after the application 24 hours being the minimum amount of time and 48 hours to be extra safe! Once your lashes are officially cured you will want to avoid any products with oil in them. Oil affect that lash extension adhesive and will results in gummy adhesive or pre-mature loss of the lash extension. To ensure you get the most out of your service it is important that you clean your lashes daily. Lash foam cleanser and brush is available for purchase for only $20.00. It is is also important that you brush your lashes morning and night and after every shower. Avoid touching your lashes with your hands. If you absolutely feel the need to touch them with your hands wash them before touching your lashes. Do use cotton products on your lashes. The cotton will get caught up in your lashes and cause damage.
